The oldest artist of the exhibition (age 83) was responsible for this Chinese-themed panda. The inspiration, according to the artist, was the painting, "Carnation-Lily, Lily Rose" by John Singer Sargent. The bear features Chinese lanterns held by bamboo poles as well as carnations, roses, poppies, and lilies in a garden setting. The Chinese characters on the bear's arm translate to "Lily Rose."
