Bearra Cotta Warrior (and Rich)

Many of the pandas were damaged by vandalism during the exhibition, this one included. (The right ear had been broken off, and was replaced prior to the auction.) This panda was inspired by the thousands of life-size terracotta warriors that were uncovered in the mausoleum of the Chinese emperor Shihuangdi. The Chinese warriors are reportedly very fearsome in appearance, but this panda is much less so.
