There is quite a bit of symbolism in this colorful panda (which was sponsored by and located in front of the Embassy of China). The bamboo adorning the panda is not only its favorite food, it also symbolizes higher and better development in life. The characters on the panda's body mean 'good blessings', while the character on the face means 'peace'. More characters, on the back of the panda, translate to 'ten thousand years happiness'. The clever positioning of the 'peace' character allows the panda's eyes to be full of peace and the mouth to speak peace.
